Privacy notice

Last updated 19 October 2026. In plain English: we collect very little, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.

Who we are

This website is run by Ryan Heaphy, trading as Norfolk Business Perks, Norwich, Norfolk ("we", "us"). We're the data controller for personal data collected through this site. Contact us about privacy at: norfolkbusinessperks@gmail.com.

What we collect and why

  • Contact form: your name, email, optional business name and type, and your message. We use this only to reply to you. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries.
  • Monthly email: your email, optional first name and business type. We use this to send our monthly email of deals and guides. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email or by contacting us.
  • Website hosting: our host (Cloudflare) processes basic technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run analytics that identify you.

Affiliate links

When you click an affiliate or referral link, you leave our site. The provider (and its affiliate network) may set cookies to record that you came from us, so they can pay us a commission. Their privacy policies apply from that point. We don't receive your personal details from them, only anonymised reports of sign-ups or sales.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf and under contract: FormSubmit (contact form), FormSubmit (sign-ups) and Google Gmail (email newsletter) and Cloudflare (hosting). Some of these may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations. We never sell your data or pass it to the companies whose deals we list.

How long we keep it

  • Contact messages: up to 12 months after our last exchange, then deleted.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We then keep your email on a suppression list only so we don't email you again.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Just contact us. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change how we use personal data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
